Komen for the CureSusan G. Komen for the Cure®

Kyle Stevens, President and CEO of Western Security Surplus Insurance Brokers (WSS) and WestPro Insurance Services, announced that they will be donating $10 for every new policy written in 2010 to Susan G. Komen for the Cure®.

According to Stevens, “It’s pretty simple. Over the years we’ve had contests and awarded prizes but we always thought there was something more we could do to thank our agents and give back – to them and the community. After polling some of our clients and our employees – it became pretty clear that if we wanted to sponsor any one organization it should be Susan G. Komen for the Cure®.

Beginning immediately, West-Pro and Western Security Surplus Insurance Brokers will donate $10 for every new policy written this year. With a goal of $25,000 for 2010, we’re appealing to the insurance community to help us reach this goal. It doesn’t cost an agent anything and they gain the satisfaction of knowing that each piece of new business they write with WSS or West-Pro in 2010 is helping raise awareness and move one step closer to finding the cure.”

About Susan G. Komen for the Cure®

Nancy G. Brinker promised her dying sister, Susan G. Komen, she would do everything in her power to end breast cancer forever. In 1982, that promise became Susan G. Komen for the Cure and launched the global breast cancer movement. Today, Komen for the Cure is the world’s largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists fighting to save lives, empower people, ensure quality care for all and energize science to find the cures. Thanks to events like the Komen Race for the Cure®, we have invested nearly $1.5 billion to fulfill our promise, becoming the largest source of nonprofit funds dedicated to the fight against breast cancer in the world.
