WSS forms West-Pro MGA

Kyle Stevens, President and CEO of Western Security Surplus Insurance Brokers (WSS) announced that effective immediately, all MGA business and specialty programs previously handled through WSS will now be written through their new exclusive MGA Dallas facility - West-Pro Insurance Services.

According to Stevens, “When Richard and Georgina Polizzi founded WSS in 1981, it was exclusively a brokerage operation. As the market began to change in the mid-1980s, WSS saw an opportunity for continued growth by entertaining MGA business to complement their brokerage operation. Now, the board has decided that by going back to its roots as a brokerage facility, WSS can provide a more focused direction through an effective alignment of our resources to better serve the long term needs of our clients. West-Pro will be our MGA operation and will handle PhoneQuotes (formerly TeleQuotes), personal lines, programs and other traditional products offered through an MGA facility. Brokerage clients will continue to work with WSS and the Brokers and offices they are familiar with and currently use.

Exclusive Programs & Services

West-Pro’s exclusive service for immediate quoting and binding is PhoneQuotes (formerly TeleQuotes). The name change to PhoneQuotes from TeleQuote more accurately reflects the ability of this service to quote and bind Commercial and Personal Lines risks in just minutes. The live underwriters at PhoneQuotes will continue to offer multiple markets, high limits and very competitive rates for eligible risks, in minutes. Current users of the PhoneQuotes facility will appreciate the new, even easier to use website that will clearly identify the quality markets available from West-Pro. PhoneQuotes will retain the same toll free number 866-924-5131. New email address is phonequotes@westproins.com.

In addition to West-Pro’s eight binding facilities, they will also be expanding their exclusive Package Liquor Liability Program for Bars, Taverns & Nightclubs. Originally available to Texas agents, this popular Bar & Tavern Program “All-in-One” is now being written in Florida and Hawaii and other states will be added this year.

More information about a new carrier offering Workers’ Compensation coverage for the California marketplace, and other exclusive programs are being considered and will be announced at a later date.
